Below are photographs I have taken of the exterior and interior of buildings that have inspired and intrigued me.

AutoCAD: Moving Objects

ESC = Cancel

command cancel

After creating a shape pressing the ESC key will cancel every command made

move cmmd

Right clicking on the shape and typing M will create the command ‘Move’moving

Drag the object to the desired spot

Having a play around on AutoCAD. Made some shapes and squares within squares.

Experimenting with tools and getting to know the software. Rotating (RO), offsetting (O), creating lines & new shapes.

I struggled with using AutoCAD and creating designs on the software proved to be a challenge.

I learnt some important software shortcuts to aid my understanding and help speed up the process of creating a design:

ENTER and SPACEBAR = To execute or repeat a command
ESC = To cancel a command
CTRL+C = Copy
CTRL+V = Paste
CTRL+X = Cut
CTRL+Z = Undo
CTRL+Y = Redo
CTRL+P = Print
CTRL+A = Select all
CTRL+F = Search
CTRL+S = Save
F3 = OSnap
O = Offset
M = Move
C = Circle
REC = Rectangle

Establishing Professional Practice

This blog will consist of the skills I have developed both in and outside of class, including the use of software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp. I will also be posting ideas and photos that inspire me as well as my drawings and sketches from my inspiration.
